Shigemi Sohara, Sohara-san, has been producing very modern, but yet, very traditional sensitive work, at my lovely studio "Himatsubushi-kakurega". And she will have exhibition at the place in Aoyama called Sekka. I couldn't wait for this day to come!! Her work is so beautifully created and graced. It almost like you can see the food with her plate and boul on the table. Dinner にお呼ばれして、とても あたたかい、ターキー、マッシュポテト、クランベリーソース、ピーカンケーキをいただき、 大満足。食器はおばあさまから譲り受けたものらしい。 代々続く食器って、とても大切なものだなーと再度実感しました。 It's thanks giving week in the U.S. I was invited to the dinner which was held at the warm couple's house. Turkey, mashed potato, cranberry sauce, pecan cake.. it was so delicious. The tableware was given to the couple from their grand parents. How beautiful. Yes. That's how the things should be... passed along to the generations.. I love to see it happening. And I hope it will be passed to Jack, their baby on the way.. |
